Homecoming
The story
Breathe in peace, breathe out the noise. Breathe in gratitude, breathe out the fear. This one isn't a story, it's a practice I sing to the morning. I'm not in a hurry, not in a race, and I don't need to hustle to know I'm blessed. Home was never a key I had to find in the dark; it was the breath I kept forgetting I had.
Lyrics
inhale... peace... exhale... the noise... inhale... gratitude... exhale... the fear... inhale... joy... exhale... the weight... Peace in the breath, like a wave on the shore Gratitude rising from the cracks in the floor Health in my bones, light in my chest The sun says I’m worthy, the morning says rest Joy in the silence, gold in the rain A whisper of wealth that don’t carry no chain I’m not in a hurry, I’m not in a race Today I walk softly in the arms of grace Peace... like a mountain, I carry inside Gratitude... like a river, I let it slide Joy... like a fire, it dances and stays Health... like a promise that lives in my days Wealth... like a garden, not just what I own I sing to the morning — I am home No more searching for a key in the dark I sit with the silence, it lights up the spark The answers, they float, like smoke in the sky The universe speaks when I’m quiet inside I open my palms, I open my chest I don’t need to hustle to know I am blessed The rhythm of breath, the beat of the now I’m wealthy in wonder — I just forgot how Peace... like a mountain, I carry inside Gratitude... like a river, I let it slide Joy... like a fire, it dances and stays Health... like a promise that lives in my days Wealth... like a garden, not just what I own I sing to the morning — I am home I am home I am whole I am here I am full
