The Bonfire Chronicles · track 5 of 11

The King Returns

The story

I came back with no crown and no chain, boots on gravel, rain on my shoulders, me and my dog and an open sky. I didn't come to fight. I came to walk through the silence and own my name again. Shagalaga, shagalaga, the fire still burns. Dignity doesn't need a costume; it only needs you to come home to yourself.

Lyrics

Lights low, roads wide
Shadow on the dash, truth on my side
Burnt the maps, kissed the flame
Walked through hell just to own my name

Didn’t come to fight
Didn’t come to fall
Just came to walk
Through the silence tall

The king returns — no crown, no chain
Boots on gravel, blood in the rain
Didn’t bring gold, didn’t bring fame
Just fire in my chest and a one-word name
Shagalaga, shagalaga — the king returns
Shagalaga, shagalaga — the fire still burns

No parade, no trumpet cry
Just me and my dog and an open sky
She said I’d break, but I just bent
Took my time and I never spent

He walks like thunder, but speaks like rain
You thought he was gone — he changed his name
No armor left, no sword to swing
Just a man, a beat, and the breath of a king

The king returns — no stage, no scream
Just the hum of the earth and a sacred dream
Didn’t come back, just stood real still
Now I walk through time with an iron will
Shagalaga, shagalaga — the king returns
Shagalaga, shagalaga — and the fire still burns

Yeah…
The fire still burns.
The king returns.
