The Road Walks Me

The story

I don't know when the walking began, somewhere between a boy and a broken man. The road never judged the miles I burned; it only ever asked one thing: have you learned? No parade, just my dog, the wind, and something real. I'm not lost and I'm not found. I'm still moving on the ground, and that is its own kind of prayer.

🔥 “The Road Walks Me”

Album: The Bonfire Chronicles
Track 6 – The Anchor Song

I don’t know when the walking began
Somewhere between boy and broken man
The flame was loud, the fire was sharp
But the road — it never tore me apart

It just moved, slow and true
Under boots that never knew
If they were chasing or being chased
But they walked, just the same

The road walks me — not the other way
Tells no lies, takes no praise
Doesn’t judge the miles I’ve burned
Just asks one thing: have you learned?
The fire made me real — but this
This path…
This path makes me true

I’ve seen kings collapse in wine
And ghosts pretend they’re doing fine
But I — I just lace the shoes
Let the gravel write the news

No parade. No grand reveal
Just my dog, the wind, and something real
I’m not lost. I’m not found.
I’m just still moving on the ground

I walked with grief. I walked with shame.
I walked when no one knew my name.
I walked through silence thick as lead
And heard the stars inside my head.

Not because I had a plan
But because the road became the man.

The road walks me — like breath, like flame
Not a journey, not a game
Not an end, not some escape
But a pulse beneath my shape
The fire made me real — but this
This road…
This road makes me true

And still it walks…
And so do I.
